General
Real on-road driving conditions can be reproduced very precisely on chassis
roller dynamometers with dynamic mass simulation.
The installed 1 axle single-roller test benches are suitable for the following tasks:
- Vibration and noise measurements
- Fuel consumption and emission measurements
- Functional and durability analyses

Integrated roller test bench with a power of 300 kW
Technical Description
The acoustic chamber with an integrated vehicle roller test bench is designed
as semi low-reflexion chamber and is suited to open field conditions.
Its acoustic lining enables noise absorption down to 100 Hz allowing sound
measurements according to DIN 45635 accuracy class 1.
The pavement of the acoustic test bench is similar to the
measurement track according to DIN 10844.
Due to the installed power output of 300 kW passenger cars and light-duty
commercial vehicles can be driven with a continuous force effort of 8,000 N and
temporarily up to 12,000 N. Vehicle weights from 500 to 3,500 kg can be
simulated. The max. speed is 250 km/h.
The design of the roller test bench in the acoustic chamber allows the
simulation of a one-sided exterior drive-by noise measurement by using one
row of microphones. The gross chamber dimensions are
24 m x 14 m x 6.5 m.
