The department of vehicle testing performs tests for complete vehicles.

The spectrum involves acoustic and vibration measurements, the determination of fuel consumption, endurance run tests to determine the durability of powertrains - such as transmissions, cardan shafts and attachement parts - as well as vehicle tests for the determination of longitudinal dynamics behaviour.

For these tests GIF runs their own

• chassis dynanometers and
• a certified measurement track
