In line with the automotive engineering colloquium of the Technical University of Aachen,
the Automotive Engineering and the competence platform Synergetic Aerospace & Automotive Engineering, Dr.-Ing. Heinz-Dieter Schneider, head of the department
Transmission Application and hybrid powertrains of GIF, will give a
speech on "Modern Automatic Transmissions for Passenger Cars" on June 5 from 3.35 pm to 5.05 pm in room U1203 (062) at Hohenstaufenallee 6 in Aachen.
Current transmission designs presently in progress will be introduced, as well as automated transmissions, conventional stepped automatic, continuously variable
and twin-clutch transmissions. Students of the Technical University of Aachen will get an overview on the actual status of the transmission technology by means
of examples, regarding functionality of different transmission types and development trends. They will get the possibility to gain professional expertise for their questions.
